KEY PLAYERS
Recognised as a global thought leader, innovative change maker and world-class film-maker, Mark Robertson has worked in the entertainment area and with at-risk youth for more than 15 years. Winning many international film festivals as an innovative director and producer he is Dreamsound Films’ founding Director.
In 2009, Mark was awarded the Young Social Pioneer of the Year Award for the delivery of his innovative programs and film-work, designed to create social and educational change. In 2017 he was also awarded a Winston Churchill fellowship honoring his achievements as a film-maker, innovator and entrepreneur. In 2019 he won a Westpac fellowship to explore other best practice paradigms globally in education, incarceration and homelessness. Also creating a six- part series on the ‘Power of Sound’ Mark has just won multiple awards at international film festivals for his episodic series production.
Mark founded Dreamsound Films on the principal of ‘creating global change through film, empowering the individual with positive direction for humanity and thereby empowering people to Make Positive Life Choices, utilising film and music as a platform to raise awareness and create social change’.
Chris has been developing his international career in Film, Music/Sound and Creative Media production for over 30 years.
As a young child he began exploring visual arts through drawing, caricature and flip animation long before beginning his professional career in Audio Production in 1991 with clients among the biggest names in the Australian Entertainment industry.
The emergence of the WWW and Interactive Design in the late 90s inspired him to return full-circle to visual art passions where he plunged into the mediums of 2D/3D/StopMotion Animation and Film Directing, Editing, Visual Effects (VFX), Compositing, Sound Design and all areas of Post-Production.
Winner of many international awards, Chris brings a wealth of experience to the Dreamsound team.
Born and raised in Northeast Philadelphia, Alexander Sharkey departed the city to study Film and Photography at Ithaca College, NY in 2006.
A love for adventure, nature, and meeting new people grew during his studies while traveling throughout Australia, New Zealand, Kenya, Europe and the United States. He has a creative eye for capturing visually engaging imagery and a passion for sharing people’s stories.
In 2015 Sharkey migrated back to Australia and now calls home the Northern Rivers, NSW. Regarded as one of the most reliable and best run and gun cinematographers in the northern rivers and winning multiple awards for his work, Sharkey regularly helps produce work for brands, agencies, and organisations for TV broadcast and digital platforms across Australia. Outside of video production, Sharkey enjoys surfing, playing music, and exploring the great outdoors.
